Christopher Meyer is the LU_Lab Director + Fearless Steward of the Environment, Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Architecture, and the principal of Atelier Mey architecture practice. Christopher earned his Master of Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in Cambridge Massachusetts and his professional degree from the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Shawna Meyer, AIA

Project Coordinator + Research Development Lead

 
Shawna Meyer is the Project Coordinator + Research Development Lead and proverbial "Glue" at the LU-Lab, Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Architecture, and the principal of Atelier Mey architecture practice. Shawna earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota College of Design in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

McKenzie Waldron

Research Assistant

 

 

McKenzie is currently an M.Arch I graduate student at the University of Miami, and is also working in the LU_Lab as a Research Assistant. She received her B.Arch from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. At the LU_Lab, McKenzie assists with model-making, documenting projects and events, planning events, and the LU_Lab's social media.

Haley Smith

Collaborator

 

Haley first joined the LU_Lab in Fall 2020 as a Graduate Assistant, and currently works as a collaborator with the Lab. She has worked behind the scenes on a number of projects, including the Climate Refuge Project. She helped coordinate the Climate Refuge model and drawings, and aided in assembling the model.

 

                                            

Ethan Blatt

Research Assistant

 

Ethan Blatt is currently an undergraduate student pursuing his B Arch Degree and has been working at the LU Lab as a research assistant for the last year. Ethan assists with design, drawings, and model making at the LU Lab and contributed to the Florida Forestry project.
